Thank you!
Thank you so much for supporting and being a part of the Storyslinger launch! Everything went smoothly and I got lots of positive and constructive feedback. Apparently, a good target for email marketing is a 10% open rate for emails sent: you guys were over 40% on every email this month! Some emails even more. I really appreciate everyone’s interaction and commitment to making this a great beginning.
“All good things must come to an end.”
—Geoffrey Chaucer
And so too must this period of freedom and new beginnings. In a few short days, the free paid subscription many of you have enjoyed for the month of November will end. I hope it’s given you the chance to poke around, interact, read, and enjoy.
If you did enjoy what you’ve seen over the course of the month (and, more importantly, if you want to support what you’ve read and listened to), please consider remaining a paid subscriber. Your contribution will allow me to continue producing quality content and even expand into video. You should receive an email at the end of the month asking you to consider a paid subscription. You can also share my work far and wide to help me gain more readership.
What the future holds.
Here’s a last little bit of insider info: next year I’m publishing three new serial stories right here on Substack. I’ll announce them here when I’m ready, but two of them will follow my two major releases on Amazon (GOST and Space Force Recondo). The third is a military romance serial that I will tease in a video early next year.
I have two other projects that I’m really excited about, one of which is a collaboration with an award-winning film director and self-help guru. But I have to keep them EYES ONLY for the time being.
2023 is going to be a very exciting year for me here on Substack.
To all of you old hands and every new subscriber: I humbly and honestly appreciate your support. This is a huge effort for me and a real shift in how I have chosen to produce my art. I’m so thrilled that you are here on this journey along with me.
Drop a note, send me an email, join in the chat using the Substack app, or simply comment on my posts—let me know your thoughts and opinions. This is the brave new world of publishing and you are helping make it a game changer for indie authors who want only to make an honest living with their art.
Keep smiling! And thanks for being a part of the journey…
